DJ Shane P

Shane started his music journey making mixtapes and producing events. He launched Grapefruit in November 2002, drawing on his lifelong passion for disco, pop & electronic music. In addition to Grapefruit, he produced the long-running Popmachine, served as opening DJ for Scissor Sisters in Toronto and has played for crowds at several celebrated venues including Fly, Mod Club Theatre, The Phoenix and Circa. In addition to DJing & event production, Shane is a former music writer for Xtra and fab. In 2021, the third iteration of Grapefruit launched at the Black Eagle in the heart of Toronto’s Gay Village.

Brad Latendresse has been spinning sets in Toronto since the late 90s.  An early 2000s residency at York University’s pub and queer nights brought him into contact with Shane and their instant musical kinship saw him join the Grapefruit fold in 2003. Brad has spent the ensuing two decades sharing his love of electronic, club, and pop music behind the decks at various events across Toronto including Fit, Popmachine, Pitbull, Business Women’s Special, Pride Toronto, ABBA vs. Robyn and OCAD’s annual GradEx party.  In 2021, Brad was thrilled to partner again with Shane for the re-launch of Grapefruit.
